See Program Activity

Program Activity is a card on your dashboard that lists what is happening across your program, newest first: contacts your colleagues logged, comments, new students and appointments. On Dashboard it sits below Pending Review, and on Admin Dashboard it is the last card.

Your program admin chooses who sees the card and what it shows. If you do not see it, it is turned off for your role. See Find Your Way Around Program Settings.

What Each Entry Shows

Each entry is one thing someone did, with who did it and when, in your program's time zone.

• A contact. One save is one entry, even when it logged several contact types, so the entry shows every type it logged and the notes. The student's name opens their profile.
• An event or a group contact. A save that logged a contact with several students at once is one entry: it names the first five students, says how many more, and links the event when an event logged it.
• A comment. The comment, with the student it is about. Visible to Student marks a comment the student can read in their portal.
• A new student. A student who submitted an application, or who staff added with Add New Student, which the entry names: "was added by" and the staff member's name. An import of many students is one entry that says how many.
• An appointment. Who booked it, the appointment type, the staff member it is with and its date and time. Cancelled marks one that was cancelled. Appointment notes are never shown.
• A profile edit. Which fields someone changed, with the old and new values. Profile edits are off unless your admin turns them on.

Contacts, comments and the rest appear here only when you could already open them on a student's profile. The card shows nothing you cannot otherwise see.

Show More

The card lists 15 entries at a time. Choose Show More at the bottom for the next 15, older ones. When there is nothing older, the card says That is everything.

The card loads when you open your dashboard and does not update by itself. Reload the page to see newer activity.

Which Program and Which Year

The card shows only the program you are viewing. If you work in two programs, each program's address shows that program's activity, under your role there, and never the other program's.

It is not filtered by program year. It lists the newest activity, so at the start of a new program year you still see last week's work. The Program Year selector on the admin dashboard does not change it.

On a Phone

On a phone, Program Activity sits after Today, collapsed to one row. Tap it to open the list.

When Names Are Hidden

Your admin can turn off student names, for a dashboard on a shared screen. Then entries say "a student" or how many students, with no names or links. Contact notes, comment text and the values a profile edit changed are not shown: a profile edit names only the fields that changed. An event shows its name without a link, and a student staff added says "was added by staff" without the staff member's name.
